 Visit of his Royal Highness Prince Laurent to the dispensary of Antwerp (november 2009) Pursuing his round of visits to the dispensaries of the Foundation and after his visit to the dispensary of Brussels last March, H.R.H.Prins Laurent paid a work visit to the dispensary of Antwerp on November 26, 2009. Let us remind that since its opening in October 2001, the dispensary of Antwerp looked after nearly 22.000 animals, which means an average of 2.500 customers per annum, thus helped by the Foundation.  This thanks to a medical team consisting of a veterinary doctor, a veterinary assistant and a medical secretary as well as five volunteers who ensure, the reception of the customers and the control of the access terms. Per month, the dispensary proceeds with the installation of 25 microchips for dogs and cats. This measure is legal for dogs and optional for cats. However, it is practiced automatically for all cats taken to the dispensaries of the Foundation in order to prevent abandonment and to contribute in this way to the wellbeing of the animals.  |
