Participation to a Study day "Animals in the meadow" (october 2009)


HRH Prince Laurent participated on the 1st of October to the Study day "Animals in the meadow" organized by the Animal Welfare service of the Ministry of Public Health.

The discussion led to the following general conclusion, full of good-sense but not always respected, unfortunately :
  • In summer, the animals must have shelter for the sun and plenty of water to drink.
  • In winter it is necessary to protect them from humidity of the ground, to provide enough food and hay. It is better not to leave weak animals outside and to control the frozen drinking places.
